Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty
Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:
• Water and Sanitation
• Sustainable livelihood
• Education
• Child Welfare

The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking Deputy CEO I (Head of Operations) based in Jakarta - Indonesia.
Reporting Line:
Post holder would directly report to Chief Executive Officer.
Overall Responsibility:
To effectively manage and provide timely and effective support to the operation in finance and support dept (procurement and logistics). S/he plays a crucial role in providing high-quality services to the country office to enable teams in developing strong finance and procurement/logistic functions in the country of operations. A service-oriented approach with an eye of detail is needed to fulfil this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Head of Operation will work closely with IRW finance and IRW Logistics. And will be the finance & support lead on all Country Office engagements.
SCOPE AND AUTHORITY
§ Reporting to the CEO and responsible for the line management of the IRI finance & support department.
§ Provide leadership to the finance and support function globally to optimise Islamic Relief financial performance in the field offices
§ The role requires the ability to take informed decisions for financial and support compliance meeting reporting requirements.
§ The role ensures that financial and support guidelines are followed in meeting the stakeholder requirements.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESOURCES
Has responsibility for resources within own remit including the budget for the IRI finance & support department
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead international finance & support services team and provide strategic organisation wide leadership to the department. Manage logistics/in-kind (supply chain) function effectively to support the IRI.
Develop and contribute to the overall organisational and financial & support strategy by improving key policies and processes. Work as a bridge between IRI finance & corporate services and IRW to deliver improved management reporting, providing more relevant information to help the business make better decisions.
1. Financial Management
o Lead IRI financial operations and direct the financial planning and structures, coordinate, analyse and report financial performance to the management.
o Ensure country management teams and regional heads are provided with the necessary financial information to enable them to make informed decisions.
o Lead on the monthly operational and finance review (OFR) to future prof financial projections, by challenging regional managers on bettering performance.
o Analyse the financial climate and trends to assist senior management in creating strategic future plans.
o Lead on managing the external audits for country projects and institutional donors as well as IR partners
2. Procurement & Logistics (supply chain)
o Manage IRI procurement and logistic function
o Work closely with the IRW Logistics to implement the supply chain strategy to enhance overall divisional profitability and meet the operational needs of the division.
o Line manages procurement coordinator in IRW, on the administration of project related procurement functions in the field offices and in IRW under procurement guide lines
o Lead division wide continuous improvement procurement cost out initiatives utilising procurement and operational personnel
3. Effective Team Management
o Lead and develop international finance and support teams
o Ensure effective planning and review of multiple and complex projects involving geographically dispersed teams.
o Ensure overall responsibility for ensuring objectives for own unit and department are achieved.
o To coordinate work where there are conflicting demands on time or other resources; negotiate resources, review progress and adapt resource requirements accordingly.
o To act as a role model in developing, managing and supporting others.
o To foster a continuous improvement environment.
o To make frequent travel to regional offices to enhance effectiveness of teams
Skills:
PERSON SPECIFICATION
It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and empathy with the Islamic values and principles as well as commitment to Islamic Relief Worldwide vision and mission.
Essential:
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
· Qualified Accountant or equivalent, Bachelor degree in Business administration with in-depth knowledge of field operations and challenges within an international NGO setting.
· Current knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
· Ability to work independently and as a team player who demonstrates leadership and is able to support and train local and international staff and also able to work within disaster affected areas
· Ability to manage and supervise finance and non-finance staff in geographically disperse locations and demonstrate effective team working and management
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to present financial matters to non-financial managers
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate on a range of complex issues credibly with a range of audiences and handle difficult on-the-spot questions or challenges
· Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and make decisions on a routine basis.
· Demonstrable ability to think strategically and highlight areas of future concern and risk
Experience:
· Substantial experience of working in the field.
· Experience of managing institutional donor funding and compliance
· Experienced in consolidating financial information from a range of sources.
· Experience of leading and managing external and internal audits and follow up with audit recommendations
· To be able to manage Logistics Team
